Airlines is launching
flights between Lomé and
Johannesburg, starting June
15. The daily flights will fly via
Lagos, Nigeria, and Douala,
Cameroon, three days a week
and via Lagos and Libreville,
Gabon, four days a week, with
fifth freedom rights.
The airline, which is a
strategic equity partner of
Ethiopian Airlines, flies to more
than 20 destinations in west
and central Africa. The new
flights will provide customers
travelling to this region a
shorter flying time, says Abel
Alemu, Ethiopian Airlines
regional manager Southern
Africa. “The flights are fully
operated by ASKY Airlines. As
part of the partnership, ET will
be a marketing carrier,” Abel
says.
ASKY is hoping that the
new connection will appeal to
corporate travellers in terms
of both cost and convenience.
Passengers will be able to
disembark in Lagos, Douala
and Libreville, offering more
options for access to those
destinations. The flight
schedule is as follows:
Flight KP061 departs
Johannesburg at 01h15 on
Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays
and Sundays to arrive in
Lomé at 10h30 via Lagos
and Libreville. On Mondays,
Wednesdays, Thursdays and
Saturdays, flight KP060 departs
Lomé at 14h00, arriving in
Lagos at 15h00. It departs at
15h45 and arrives in Libreville
at 17h30, departing at 18h20
and arriving in Johannesburg at
23h15.
On Mondays, Wednesdays
and Saturdays, flight KP063
departs Johannesburg at
01h15, landing in Lomé at
10h30 via Douala and Lagos.
On Tuesdays, Saturdays and
Sundays, flight KP062 follows
the same times as KP060,
stopping at Lagos and Douala
in place of Libreville.
