Green Safaris will open a new luxury tented eco-camp, Shawa Luangwa Camp, in South Luangwa National Park, Zambia, in June next year.

The camp, which can take a maximum of ten guests, will comprise four tents (three double and one family) with private decks overlooking the Luangwa River, says Lauren Watson, Green Safaris’ marketing manager.

Facilities will include a main boma and a swimming pool and activities will include game drives using electric vehicles for silent safaris, among others.

To reach the camp, guests fly from Lusaka to Mfuwe, followed by a one-hour drive to the camp.

Green Safaris’ portfolio includes Ila Safari Lodge in Kafue National Park; the Chisa Busanga Camp in Busanga Plains and Shawa Luangwa Camp in Zambia; and Kaya Mawa in Likoma Island, Malawi.
