Kulula.com has put together a host of handy tips for agents for the festive season:
• Change of Booking fee collection: Remember to collect the COB fee in the OD box. Please reissue the ticket after making any changes to avoid the ticket and PNR being out of sync.
• Deal Numbers: Insert the Deal Number into the Tour Code Box and not the endorsement field. Do not insert the Corporate ID in the Tour Code Box.
• Avoiding Plating Violations: Check if there are any fare Sales Restrictions that may apply (kulula private fares may only be issued on 161 ticket stock). Ensure wholly kulula itineraries are validated on 161 ticket stock only.
• Rebooking in Expired PNR: Do not rebook sectors and issue tickets in an expired or No Show PNR. Please rebook passengers in a completely new PNR to prevent cancellation by our Revenue Integrity tool.
• Ticketing Time Limits: Bookings made more than 72 hours to departure means 24 hours to ticket. Bookings made less than 72 hours but more than 12 hours to departure means four hours to ticket. Bookings made within 12 hour to departure must be ticketed immediately or RI will apply instant cancellation. RI will send ticketing deadline warning messages as teletype messages: “ADVISE MN TICKET NBRS BY (time & date) OR RESERVATION WILL BE CXLD”
• Baggage Allowance: Please ensure your customers are aware that kulula passengers are entitled to one free checked bag, 90cm (L) x 75cm (W) x 43cm (H), up to 20kg. Bags weighing more than 20kg but not more than 32kg will be charged a Heavy Bag Charge of R250. Bags carried in addition to the one free bag will be charged an Extra Bag Fee of R350 per piece at the airport, or R245 online (www.kulula.com). Bags that weigh more than 32kg must be transported as cargo.
