Hilton Hotels & Resorts has opened a new resort, Hilton Cabo Verde Sal Resort, on Sal Island, Cape Verde, 15 minutes from Sal International Airport.
There are 241 rooms, each with a 127cm LED TV, WiFI, and a balcony or terrace. All rooms are at least 39 sqm, with suites offering at least 75 sqm of space. Oceanfront suites and the Presidential suite have ocean views.
Dining options include the Bounty Beach Bar, serving international cuisine and featuring a restaurant DJ; the Pool Bar serves healthy food and drink options; the Cize Bar offers special cocktails and wine accompanied by jazz, soul, and Cabo Verdean music; and the Magellan, the resort’s all-day-dining restaurant offers a buffet, open cooking demonstrations and a selection of international dishes.
The resort has a stone pool, a kids’ club with a children’s pool, a nautical centre for diving and sailing options, and a 24-hour fitness centre. There is also a beauty salon, and Hilton’s ‘eforea’ Spa concept with a wet area and eight treatment rooms.
Hilton Cabo Verde Sal Resort offers over 1 000 sqm of flexible meeting space, including a 300 sqm ballroom, making it suitable for business groups, small meetings and social events. Wedding packages are also available.
Hilton Hotels & Resorts area vice president of operations for Africa and Indian Ocean, Jan van der Putten, said: “Cabo Verde is a fast-growing tourism destination that offers amazing weather year-round, a rich culture and pristine beaches.”
