Aardvark Safaris, in partnership with Serengeti Balloon Safaris and Wayo Africa Fly Camps, is offering what is described as the first balloon safari trip crossing the Serengeti National Park from November 1 to 7.

The six-day expedition will fly guests to new wilderness spots in hot air balloons. Departing from Arusha, the guests will sleep four nights in star cocoon tents attached to the hot-air balloon and spend two nights on land. The experience will feature panoramic views about 610m above the Serengeti, close-up wildlife encounters and a landing on the eastern banks of Lake Victoria. The hot-air balloon will return to Arusha for disembarkation.

Each morning, guests will arrive at wilderness areas where they will be able to explore the landscape on escorted walking safaris and traditional wildlife drives. In the cheetah-populated area of the Gol Kopjes, the de-snaring team from Frankfurt Zoological Society will demonstrate how to disarm a snare.

Bookings are available through Aardvark Safaris.
