Hurtigruten Expeditions is rebranding to HX and, simultaneously, Hurtigruten Norway is rebranding to Hurtigruten.

The change of names is to clearly differentiate the two cruise lines, which split operations three years ago, reports travelweekly.com.

The new HX brand and logo will be introduced only in December, with updates to brochures, websites and social channels, while the repainting of the fleet’s six ships’ livery will commence over the next 18 months. The expedition cruise line expects to have fully implemented the new brand by June 2024.

The group will deploy the Otto Sverdrup as a part of Hurtigruten Norway’s fleet from January 2024.

Hurtigruten Norway’s transition date to the name Hurtigruten is yet to be announced.
