HX Expeditions Holdings has announced the completion of its acquisition by a consortium of investors, marking its separation from the Hurtigruten Group AS.

The consortium is led by Arini Capital Management, Cyprus Capital Partners and Tresidor Investment Management and, according to a statement by HX Expeditions, this investment will be “pivotal to the next phase of growth and innovation”.

Part of the strategy includes investment in some of HX’s most popular cruise ships. HX has confirmed it will continue to invest in its ships, the MS Fram and MS Spitsbergen, which will receive upgrades to their onboard cabins, suites, science centres and restaurant areas in Q2 2025.
