Iberia is the latest airline to introduce a baggage-scanning app, following similar launches from Ryanair and KLM.
The app allows passengers to use their phones to scan their hand baggage to check that its dimensions are within the allowable limits.
The function is available for iOs devices and was developed using augmented reality.
Ryanair introduced a bag-sizing feature on its app in April that allows passengers to scan and measure hand luggage to see if bags are small enough to fit under the seat in front of them, or if they have to pay to take it on board.
