InterContinental Hotels Group revealed its new all-suites brand, Atwell Suites, at its Americas Investors & Leadership Conference in Las Vegas.
As IHG developed its newest hotel brand, research highlighted that many guests are looking for a memorable experience as well as amenities and services falling between those offered by traditional extended stay and traditional select service hotels.
Atwell Suites properties offer all-studio suites which include a kitchenette area with refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker and sink. Suites will also feature a desk, pull-out sofa, bathroom, and a closet that can be accessed from both guestroom and bathroom.
Flexible meeting spaces, including a meeting room integrated into the lobby, outdoor space and public/private working areas will also be available at Atwell properties.
All hotels will include a complimentary hot breakfast alongside cold, grab-and-go options and coffee. Additionally, the bar in the lobby will serve small plates paired with a drinks menu.
Atwell Suites properties will include IHG’s WiFi, IHG Connect. The brand also offers IHG Studio, a direct casting of entertainment from guest’s smart phones and personal devices to 139cm TVs in each room. Self-check-in will be offered via tablets in close proximity to the front desk/bar area.
IHG expects the Atwell Suites brand to be franchise-ready in the fall of 2019 with the first hotels beginning construction in 2020 and opening in 2021.
