The second Travel Industry Padel Day for this year took place at Net Set Padel in Sandton City on August 27, sponsored by SANI SiXT Car Rental.
Many newcomers joined the event, with participants being treated to a special exhibition match by some of the best padel players in South Africa who are part of the Deportista Titans Team, recent winners of the 360 Diamond League Padel title.
Post the exhibition game, attendees were provided with free coaching clinics by the pros.
Teams of two played five group round-robin matches, with the top two advancing to the top bracket, the third and fourth advancing to the middle bracket, and the fifth and sixth advancing to a new addition to the day, the lower bracket.
This ensured that everyone in attendance, regardless of skill and experience, had the opportunity to play as many games as possible and walk away with great prizes.
Shermen Moodley and Ridwaan Seedat from SANI SiXT took home the trophy for the top bracket. Asif Sultan and Yvette Hopkins from Tourvest won the middle bracket, followed by Michelle Burnett and Beverly Cumiskey from SANI SiXT, who won the lower bracket.
