JET Airways is in the process
of closing its Bedfordviewbased
Johannesburg office,
TNW has learned from
internal sources.
The airline operated out of
South Africa for two years
between 2010 and 2012.
Since discontinuing these
services, the Johannesburg
office has operated offline,
promoting flights beyond
Mumbai in conjunction with
its Etihad and Air Seychelles
codeshare agreements.
The contact details for the
Johannesburg office now
direct passengers to call
the Indian call centre; there
is no answer on the old
Johannesburg office number.
TNW understands that local
staff contracts have not
been renewed but that the
airline may be considering a
appointing a general sales
agent locally.
TNW contacted Jet Airways
for comment but had not
received a response at time
of publication.
