Australian airline, Jetstar Airways, has cancelled 48 of its 200 flights scheduled for tomorrow (February 19) due to a 24-hour strike by members of the Transport Workers Union. More than 250 ground crew and baggage handlers will go on strike. International flights to or from Australia will not be affected.
Any customers who plan to fly with Jetstar tomorrow (February 19) can request either a full refund or for their flight to be rebooked on a different day before February 27 at no extra charge.
Should customers choose to go ahead with their flight tomorrow and the flight is either cancelled on the day or delayed by more than three hours, Jetstar will offer either a replacement flight option or a refund.
If such a delay occurs overnight, meals and accommodation will also be provided by the airline.
A list of all the flights that are currently expected to be affected by the strikes can be found on Jetstar’s website.
