Kenya Airways has reinstated flights from Nairobi to Antananarivo, following the lifting of travel restrictions by Madagascar.

The airline resumed flights on April 25, operating on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The service also connects in Nairobi with flights to Paris, Johannesburg, Dubai, Amsterdam, London, Mumbai, Dar es Salaam, Accra, Abidjan, and Dakar.

Flight KQ256 will depart Nairobi at 12h15 and arrive in Antananarivo at 15h35. Return flight KQ257 will depart Antananarivo at 16h25 and arrive in Nairobi at 19h50.

Julius Thairu, Kenya Airways Chief Commercial and Customer Officer, said the airline’s aim was to link key markets within its network to allow passengers seamless connectivity from all points, with a particular focus on connecting Africa.

Passengers travelling to Madagascar are advised to take note of the following entry protocols:

• Negative PCR test results done 72 hours before the flight;

• Rapid antigen screening test on arrival;

• Quarantine for at least seven days for passengers with positive test results at health facilities or hotels approved by the government.
