Known fraudster nabbed again

KIM Robbertse (35) was
arrested on new charges
of airline ticket fraud after
appearing at the Bellville
Commercial Crime Court
on Thursday, November 23
for similar charges. It is
alleged that she continued
defrauding victims, using the
same modus operandi while
out on bail.
The bail application was
scheduled for Tuesday,
November 28, however the
hearing was postponed for
a week because the court
roll was full. Kim spent
the weekend in jail and
is currently in custody at
Pollsmoor Prison.
Kim was appearing on
fraud charges, running into
roughly R5 million. The case
was again postponed when
she once more appointed
a new attorney. An October
trial was postponed for the
same reason. She was first
arrested in November 2016.
Christo Snyman, national
director: forensic services
of Mazars, says she was
arrested as she walked out
of the court on new fraud
charges, amounting to
R2 million. According to the
Hawks, Kim has reportedly
pocketed in excess of
R7million from her unlawful
activities.
