A fire broke out at La Pirogue’s Magenta Restaurant and Bar in Mauritius on July 15, but was quickly extinguished within minutes.
No injuries were reported and guest rooms and the resort’s overall infrastructure remains unaffected. The Sunlife resort is fully operational, with all accommodation, the main pool, recreation areas, and other food-and-beverage venues operating as normal.
Guests can also continue to access the restaurants, bars and leisure facilities at La Pirogue’s neighbouring five-star sister resort, Sugar Beach.
The resort is working to restore Magenta Restaurant and Bar to become fully operational as soon as possible.
