Explora Journeys has revealed the latest details about its newest ship, Explora III, set to debut in 2026.

The ship will be bigger than Explora I and Explora II and will have 463 Ocean Suites, Penthouses and Residences. The cruise line claims that the ship will offer guests more space than ever before, with a guest-to-space ratio of 18,7 sqm.

Explora Journeys will introduce more of its higher suite categories on this vessel, with Ocean Penthouses accounting for 24% of the ship’s suite inventory and Ocean Residences taking up nine percent of the inventory. The ship will also have an additional Owner’s Residence.

This will be the cruise line’s first LNG-powered ship and, to further reduce its environmental impact, it will be equipped with shore power capabilities and energy efficiency features.

For its inaugural season, Explora III will sail northern Europe, Iceland and Greenland before exploring the east coast of North America and repositioning to the Caribbean for the winter 2026/2027 season.

The ship will feature a spa and a fitness centre with an open-air fitness area on Deck 14, an extended running track on Deck 12 and an expanded sports court with pickleball, paddle and basketball.

Meeting and event spaces will be available on Deck 11. The spaces can be divided into three separate rooms, suitable for business events, functions and video conferences.

Anna Nash, President of Explora Journeys, says: “We are thrilled to reach the halfway point in the launch of our fleet of six luxury ships, each designed to redefine standards of ocean travel.”
