Four SA airlines recognised in Skytrax awards

Four South African airlines have received recognition in Skytrax's 2025 World Airline Awards.

South African Airways was ranked the fourth-best carrier in Africa.

Airlink came third in the ‘Best Regional Airlines in Africa’ category and won 'Cleanest Airline in Africa’. The cleanliness award is based on ratings of the standard and quality of cleanliness and presentation in aircraft cabins, seat areas, carpets and washrooms.

FlySafair was ranked the 'Best Low-Cost Airline in Africa' and eighth-best airline in Africa.

LIFT won second place in the 'Best Low-Cost Airline in Africa' and placed ninth in the ‘Best Airlines in Africa’ category.

Three South African airlines were placed in the 'Best Airlines in Africa 2024' category, with Ethiopian Airlines in first place.
