FLYSAFAIR has made
its inventory available
on MyMarket 2.0 – the
upgraded version of
MyMarket, which is owned
by the BidTravel Group, and
allows both agents and
corporates to book travel.
Through this platform, the
low-cost carrier can now
market its airfares directly
to the Bidvest group’s
clients. “We want to partner
with service providers.
They add a great deal of
value,” said Kirby Gordon,
FlySafair vp of sales and
distribution.
Travellers booking
FlySafair on this platform
benefit by not paying for
checked luggage – which
is in line with the growing
trend by companies trying
to cut back on travel spend.
There’s also a standard
fare, which allows two free
changes to a booking. “We
definitely designed our
product with a corporate
traveller in mind,” said
Kirby.
FlySafair still had plans to
move its inventory on to the
GDS, but was “waiting to
have the correct systems in
place before going ahead,”
Kirby told TNW.
