Contiki: Pack My Bags, an automated holiday-packing list function, is now available on Amazon Alexa devices.
Contiki has teamed up with the virtual assistant producer to develop the first-ever Amazon Alexa Skill that creates a packing checklist with voice-enabled technology.
Users must enable the skill by saying yes when prompted for list access and ask the device, “Alexa, pack my bags” to trigger the function. Users must then tell Alexa the destination and the month of travel.
The Contiki Alexa Skill then sends personalised packing lists, tailored to chosen holiday destinations, straight to the traveller’s phone. The list is also shared via email to the account attached to the user’s Amazon ID.
Contiki: Pack My Bags will provide helpful suggestions on what to pack based on the season, with advice on how users can pack more sustainably. The voice skill recommends products that are more sustainable, such as ocean-friendly sunscreen, and discourages the use of single-use plastics.
Additionally, the skill has built-in destination-specific visual elements that are compatible with Smart Speakers screens and Fire TVs.
