Lufthansa adjusts schedule amid pilot strike

Lufthansa expects to operate 60% of its long-haul flights following a call by the Vereinigung Cockpit union for full-day strikes on March 12 and 13.

The airline said numerous flights at Frankfurt and Munich would be operated by other airlines in the Lufthansa Group and partner carriers, while larger aircraft would be deployed on strike days to accommodate more passengers.

Passengers holding tickets from Lufthansa, Austrian, SWISS, Brussels Airlines or Air Dolomiti issued on or before March 10 and booked on Lufthansa-operated flights on March 12 or 13, may:

Operations are mostly expected to return to normal from March 14.
