Lufthansa unveils winter upgrades

SWISS Air Lines will bring its new long-haul experience SWISS Senses to Johannesburg this winter on the Airbus A350. The redesigned business-class cabins are fitted with lie-flat seats and an optional sliding door for privacy.

The announcement forms part of a series of winter-season updates unveiled by the Lufthansa Group across its airlines.

Lufthansa will increase weekly frequencies on several high-demand routes this winter, including the Munich-Johannesburg route.

The airline is also introducing its new Allegris cabins on select routes. From Munich, the new destinations are Singapore, starting in late October and Washington in March 2027.

From Frankfurt, new long-haul Allegris routes will include Vancouver, Houston, Denver, Atlanta, Detroit, San José, Seoul, and Kuala Lumpur. Lufthansa will offer the new nonstop service to Malaysia’s capital five times a week starting October 25.
