Luxury Gold launches Scotland itinerary

Travel Corporation’s luxury tour brand Luxury Gold has launched a new Spectacular Scotland 10-day itinerary.

In collaboration with Scotland’s tourism authority, Visit Scotland, the Spectacular Scotland itinerary was developed to combat overtourism, highlight sustainable suppliers and explore less-known regions.

The experience includes unique Make Travel Matter activities and excursions, in support of Luxury Gold’s sustainable development goals:

  • Highland Tartan Demonstration: Guests will tour the Prickly Thistle, a women-run tartan weaving mill in the Highlands, and learn about ancestral weaving techniques and the creation of sustainable textiles.
  • Glencoe with a Wildlife Ranger: Travellers will embark on a guided visit to Glencoe National Nature Reserve, and learn about indigenous species restoration and habitat protection.
  • Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust: On the Isle of Mull, guests will learn about marine conservation efforts and assist researchers with projects that focus on protecting local marine life.

The itinerary also offers a chance to explore Scotland’s less-visited gems, including the Cairngorms National Park, Dunrobin Castle and Loch Fleet National Nature Reserve.

Guests will also enjoy a menu crafted with locally sourced and hand-foraged ingredients at the local Wedgwood Restaurant. The owners, Lisa and Paul Wedgwood, personally engage with diners and share the story behind their sustainable sourcing practices.
