On February 16, the Maldives Ministry of Transport announced that the Raajje Transport Link (RTL) ferry service had launched high-speed ferry services to the Faafu and Dhaalu atolls.
Tickets can be purchased through the RTL website or mobile app.
With the inclusion of these two atolls, RTL’s network of services now includes 14 routes.
The Faafu Atoll, which consist of 20 islands, is southwest of Malé and is known for scuba diving, traditional fishing villages, historic sites and secluded resorts.
The Dhaalu Atoll, featuring 56 islands just south of the Faafu Atoll, is known for its popular luxury resorts, white-sand beaches, diving spots and its traditional artisanal arts and jewellery crafting.
