Marriott renames extended stay product

16 Aug 2023
Comments | 0

Marriott International expects to launch its new midscale extended-stay brand StudioRes by late 2024 or early 2025, reports upgradedpoints.com.

The hotel group had revealed the details of the concept earlier this year, but temporarily referred to it as Project MidX Studios. It explained that the brand would cater for budget-conscious consumers in the US and Canada. The average daily rate at StudioRes will be $80 (R1 508) per night for short stays and longer stays of 20 nights or more, according to travelweekly.com.

The new brand joins Residence Inn, Element by Westin, TownePlace Suites, Marriott Executive Apartments and Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy in the group’s extended-stay portfolio.

StudioRes accommodation will offer guestrooms with full kitchens, access to on-site laundry facilities, a gym and pet-friendly amenities.
