Mauritius hotel suffers minimal damage after fire

Operations at The Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa, Mauritius, are largely unaffected by a fire that broke out at the hotel on Saturday.

The damage was, for the most part, restricted to the hotel’s office space.

“No rooms have been affected,” a spokesperson for the hotel told eTNW.

The spokesperson confirmed that all the restaurants and facilities were also unaffected, with the exception of the executive lounge, which is reserved for loyalty programme members with elite status. These members are being accommodated in the hotel’s retreat bar, next door to the executive lounge.
