A late night of boozing has landed an airline employee in
hot water after he took a nap on an aircraft in Kansas City, and woke up in
Chicago.
A Piedmont Airlines worker in Kansas City, US, dozed off while in the cargo
hold of an American Airline’s Boeing 737 jet. He was discovered at the
gate in Chicago by American Airlines employees and handed over to the police
who detained at Chicago O'Hare International Airport.
Luckily, the cargo hold was pressurised and heated and the
employee didn't require medical attention. The man said he was suffering a
hangover after a late night of drinking. He was then suspended from the airline
pending an investigation. “We are
grateful that he did not sustain any injuries," American Airlines said in
a statement.
Who knew a hangover could go so wrong? Lesson learned!
