Air Mauritius says more flights for South Africa are in the pipeline.

The airline has told Travel News that when the flights start on October 1, there will be a Friday and a Sunday flight. Then, from October 6, a third weekly flight will operate on Wednesdays.

Over the high season, the airline will operate supplementary flights, departing from Johannesburg on December 8, 15, 22 and 29. Supplementary return flights will depart from Mauritius on January 5 and 12.

A spokesperson for the airline said flight times remained the same to allow for international connections.
