KNOWN as 'The Flower of the Drakensberg', the KwaZulu Natal Nature Conservation Service's (NCS) Giant's Castle camp will increase its capacity and services with a total revamp to the value of approximately R3m, says NCS media liaison officer, Jeff Gaisford.
He told Travel Now the old camp - located in the central Drakensberg area - had been rebuilt, linking the smaller units to each other to create self-catering units.
"Furthermore, 28 two-bed self-catering chalets featuring fireplaces, a fully-licensed restaurant and bar with viewing deck overlooking the river - will be added to the property prior to completion in October.
According to him, all chalets will have their own barbecue facility and the reception area/souvenir shop has also undergone a total refurbishment.
