Koh Samui will open a new cruise terminal by 2032, boosting tourism in Surat Thani province.
Construction of the THB12,1 billion (R6,5 billion) cruise terminal project is scheduled to begin in 2029 and be completed by 2032. Once operational, the terminal is expected to handle 120 cruise ship arrivals annually and attract around 180 000 visitors each year.
The planned terminal will have capacity for two large cruise ships to dock simultaneously.
