The SSR International Airport in Mauritius will see all operations scheduled to depart from it effective from September 12.

Air Mauritius and BA Comair are among the carriers who will operate out of the new terminal, which consists of three levels. Domestic arrival and departures will be processed on the ground level, international arrivals will be processed at level 2 and international departures will processed at level 1.

Elonka Reuss, sales and marketing co-ordinator for Air Mauritius in South Africa says the layout will mean more convenience for travellers and adds: “One of the highlights at the departure check-in hall is that now that public has granted access.”

Melanie says that for convenience, Air Mauritius will be operating ticketing counters at both the domestic and international terminals. “These outlets will undertake sales of tickets and ancillary services such as lounge access and last minute upgrades and sales of exit seats. Excess baggage payments can also be made there,” she says.
