New travel regs for Namibia

01 Jun 2021
Comments | 0

Namibia has introduced new travel restrictions, with effect from today (June 1), according to a release from Airlink.

All travellers entering Namibia will need to produce a negative SARS COVID-19 PCR test result (valid for seven days from the date of collection). Antigen Rapid Diagnostic Test results will no longer be accepted for entry into Namibia at ports of entry.

Travellers must present their valid negative test result certificate at check-in for their flight to Namibia. Children younger than five years are exempt from this requirement. Travellers also have to complete a Travel Health Questionnaire and present it on arrival, where they will also be screened.

“Airlink supports all efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19 and with our own stringent application of globally recommended health security measures, we have successfully demonstrated to health authorities and our customers that air travel on Airlink flights is safe.

“Similarly, we have helped countries take full advantage of the catalytic benefits that air connectivity offers for the recovery and growth of their economies,” said Airlink ceo and md, Rodger Foster.
