Oman embassy advises on e-visas

13 Sep 2018 - by Savannah Freemantle

Mia Thiart, an
ITC based in East London, came across an unofficial Oman e-visa website while applying for a 30-day visa for
her client. She initially raised her concerns in a post on Open Jaw by Travelinfo.

The Oman embassy advised eTNW
that agents should ensure that they use https://evisa.rop.gov.om/en/home
when applying for e-visas.

Speaking to eTNW,
Mia said she became concerned that she wasn’t on the Oman Embassy’s official e-visa
website when she was asked to make a Paypal payment for assistance with her
application.

The website, https://www.ievisa.com,
that Mia was referring to, offers e-visa processing for countries including India, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Oman, Azerbaijan, Cambodia and Kenya.
