Operator debuts pilgrimage offering

TRAFALGAR has released a
limited edition Travel with
Faith brochure for 2018. It
is the tour operator’s first
offering of a pilgrimage
brochure for guests who wish
to uncover a deeper meaning
to religious destinations that
are visited.
The 15 featured trips
mostly focus on Christian
faith tours in Europe and the
Middle East, ranging from
affordable cost-saving options
to longer, leisurely trips.
A highlight of the brochure
includes nine different
itineraries for travellers
wishing to visit the 2020
Oberammergau Passion Play
in the south of Germany. After
the town was devastated
by the plague in 1633, the
people of Oberammergau
vowed that if their lives were
spared, natives of the town
would perform the play every
ten years, a tradition that
has continued ever since.
The Bavarian village expects
almost half a million people
to attend one of the soughtafter
performances from the
2 000-strong cast.

Oberammergau Passion Play
and our Days of Devotion
pilgrimage from Spain,
through France and onward
to Portugal,” says Theresa
Szejwallo, md of Trafalgar.
