A mom travelling on an SAA flight from New York back
to Johannesburg had a massively proud-to-be-SouthAfrican
moment on board recently. Air hostess, Mavis,
offered to take the mom’s baby girl out of her arms and
‘beletha’d her (strapped her on her back), then carried
on serving other passengers so that the mom was able
to eat her meal in peace. Fifteen minutes later, Mavis
returned to the mom’s seat with a fast asleep baby!
