Gautrain plans e-hailing service

Gautrain plans to launch its own e-hailing service, aimed at improving connectivity for passengers travelling to and from stations across Gauteng.

According to the Gautrain Management Agency (GMA), the Gautrain Express Service will be available in the Gautrain mobile app and will connect commuters with drivers in real time.

“This is aimed at addressing gaps for customers travelling to and from Gautrain stations. The Gautrain Express service will address these first and last mile gaps and ensure that it provides seamless travel to and from Gautrain stations,” the GMA said in a statement.

The GMA says it will continue to engage with stakeholders to ensure that the service is well integrated and contributes to the broader public transport system in Gauteng.
