The local financial advisory group of the APJC met in Johannesburg last

month to review Iata’s local financial criteria. Consideration is being given

to the introduction of NewGen ISS and the phasing out of the BSP’s

monthly remittance option. The group will submit its recommendations to

the local APJC in August. Thereafter it will be submitted to PaConf, which

is set to take place in the week of October 21.
