Portugal has been named ‘Best Tourism Destination in Europe’ for the fifth time in the last six years in the European edition of the World Travel Awards.
Among regional destinations, the Azores (Europe’s leading adventure tourism destination), Algarve (Europe’s leading beach destination), Lisbon (Europe’s leading city break destination, Europe’s leading cruise destination and Europe’s leading seaside metropolitan destination) and Porto (Europe’s leading city destination) stand out.
The Africa and Indian Ocean Awards Gala Ceremony will take place at Kenyatta International Convention Centre in Nairobi, Kenya, on Saturday, October 15.
