Private quality programme shows results

SINCE the inception of its Classification Programme two years ago, tourism quality assurance company, Qualitour, has announced that its 'Diamond' programme is "paying dividends", with a number of its member properties having shown an improvement in standards and service delivery.
So reports Qualitour managing director, Greg McManus, who says the product development approach of the Classification Programme requires operators to do more than simply meet minimum requirements.
Recently, two Qualitour-rated hotels were awarded a higher Classification status in terms of the Diamond programme. The Sparkling Waters Hotel & Conference Centre in Rustenburg and the Belvidere Manor in Knysna, Western Cape were both awarded Highly Recommended status.
