SOUTH African retail travel brand,

Rennies Travel, has joined BCD

Travel’s global network.

Rennies was previously aligned with

the Hogg Robinson Group (HRG).

In July last year, American Express

Global Business Travel completed its

acquisition of HRG. Tourvest Travel

Services operates the Amex brand in

the South African market.

BCD will continue to

operate its current South

African joint venture,

BCD Travel South Africa,

separately from Rennies.

Both brands fall within the

Bidvest group.

It’s “business as usual”,

Marco Cristofoli, ceo of

BCD Travel South Africa, told

TNW. “Rennies Travel is a

strong brand in the South

African market.

“This partnership will

give Rennies reach from a

product and technology point

of view,” he says.

“We chose BCD Travel as

our partner because of its

global reach, its consistent

delivery of and roadmap for

innovation, its global data

consolidation expertise

and its service orientation

across all markets around

the world,” says Bronwyn

Philipps, ceo of Rennies

Travel.
