Rome has introduced new fees for public transport tickets with immediate effect.
According to Wanted in Rome, the city has increased the price of tickets often used by tourists, including the 24-hour ticket, the 48-hour ticket, the 72-hour ticket and the weekly ticket.
The 24-hour public transport ticket has increased from €7 (R146) to €8,50 (R177). The 48-hour ticket from €12,50 (R260) to €15 (R312), the 72-hour ticket from €18 (R375) to €22 (R458), and the weekly ticket from €24 (R499,50) to €29 (R603,50).
The prices for the monthly and annual pass remain at €35 (R728) and €250 respectively (R5 203).
