RwandAir has signed a new codeshare with Turkish Airlines.

RwandAir passengers, when travelling from Africa, will now be able to access the Turkish carrier’s extensive network of more than 300 destinations worldwide. And passengers coming to Africa on Turkish Airlines’ flights into Kigali will have access to RwandAir’s African network.

Yvonne Makolo, CEO of RwandAir, said: “We are incredibly excited to have signed this new codeshare agreement with one of the world’s largest and leading carriers, Turkish Airlines,” adding that the landmark move would improve connections for inbound travellers into Africa, via RwandAir’s extensive continental network.

“RwandAir is always exploring new commercial opportunities to expand its reach into markets that can deliver financial return and benefit our growing customer base.”

Turkish Airlines currently has daily flights between Kigali and Istanbul.

RwandAir presently operates flights to 24 destinations in East, Central, West and Southern Africa, the Middle East, Europe and Asia.
