SAA misses another annual report deadline

SAA has again failed to submit its annual report for the 2024/25 financial year to Parliament by the legally mandated deadline, which was September 30.

In a letter to Parliament, acting Minister of Transport Kgosientsho Ramokgopa said the airline would not be able to finalise and submit its audited financial statements by the deadline.

The report for 2024/25 reportedly required additional time due to complexities from the external audit process and late compilation of the 2023/24 report.

The letter stated that the new SAA board, which was appointed in August, would also require additional time to “review and validate key disclosures to ensure alignment with governance standards and transparency expectations”.

The financial report is expected to be ready for tabling by the end of November.
