BlackBrick is a brand that takes commercial buildings and repurposes and revitalises them, breathing new life into the immediate area. The properties have a signature matt black brick front and all sport the work of local artists on their walls.

Located in the heart of Sandton at 25 Fredman Drive, Blackbrick Sandton is an apart-hotel laid out across two floors of the BlackBrick building and offers 75 apartment-style guest rooms across four categories. All feature energy-saving technology, fast WiFi, USB chargers and smart TVs. BlackBrick has collaborated with South Africa’s leading furniture and homeware store, Weylandts, known for its pared-back, edgy yet natural style. The clean and contemporary interiors throughout complement works of art by South African artists.

BlackBrick Cape Town Foreshore is a repurposed 1950s office complex on the corner of St George’s Mall and Waterkant Street Fan Walk. It houses 100 apartment-style rooms and has a mix of hospitality and leisure spaces including meeting and work spaces, boxing gym, rooftop yoga, cinema room, library and rooftop lounge. The property is furnished in contemporary, industrial-chic style. High ceilings and original parquet flooring showcase its half-century of heritage. The works of local artists are exhibited on the walls.
