Scenic Tours, operator of all-inclusive luxury river cruises in Europe, has recently released a preview of its Europe River Cruising programme for 2014 with a new cruise that sails as far as the Danube Mile Zero – the point where the River Danube flows into the Black Sea.
The World Heritage-listed Danube Delta hosts over 300 species of birds and 45 species of freshwater fish. Guests will sail through the passage of Saint George and the Danube Delta to reach the Black Sea coast on the new 20-day Munich & Passau to the Danube Delta River Cruise. The itinerary includes three nights in Munich, a 14-night river cruise from Passau to Tulcea plus two nights in Bucharest. Guests will also experience a private Viennese evening concert at the majestic Palais Lichtenstein and a home-hosted dinner in Croatia. They will enjoy a horse show in Kalocsa, wine tasting in Arbanassi and an organ concert in Passau’s St Stephen’s Cathedral. They will also discover the historic town of Pecs, Melk’s Benedictine Abbey and Bucharest’s Snagov Lake.
In 2013 Scenic Cruises appointed Cruise Vacations as its official sales agents in South Africa, making it possible to make reservations locally for the first time.
