Seven things you need to know about millennial travellers

The 2018 Iata Global Passenger Survey has revealed millennial travellers’ seven top priorities when travelling by air. The survey received 10 408 responses from April-July 2018.

The survey findings show that millennials prioritise:

  1. Having an electronic boarding pass
  2. Using biometric identification in place of a passport
  3. The ability to check in online using their smart phone, or a hand-held device
  4. Being allowed to scan their boarding token themselves
  5. Receiving notifications about air travel through an app
  6. Baggage drop-off that takes less than 30 seconds
  7. Baggage collection that takes less than five minutes
