Great Plains Conservation has unveiled its Sitatunga Private Island Suite, which will be available once the Sitatunga Private Island Camp opens on July 15 in the Okavango Delta, Botswana.

According to Travel Weekly, the two-bedroom 607sqm suite, built on a raised deck, will accommodate up to four adults, or two adults and three children aged six and upwards. The camp, which includes an additional two tented rooms, will accommodate up to eight guests.

The suite will offer yoga mats, light weight-training equipment, and in-room massages, while a wine cellar and boutique will be available to guests in the camp.

Guests will be able to explore the Okavango Delta's permanent channels by mekoro (canoe), enjoy guided morning walks, fishing, or photographic safaris with complimentary professional camera and lens sets.

The property is expected to provide guests with an authentic ‘Robinson Crusoe’ experience. CEO of Great Plains Conservation, Dereck Joubert, says: “Sitatunga Private Island Camp is an extraordinary place. It is a private island and is one of the few locations where one can still see sitatunga, the rare aquatic antelope, from camp and by boat, which is the main activity here in addition to walking. It is deep Okavango Delta and, as such, is rich in birding. Head out on a boat to view elephants, crocodiles and hippos all day, every day.”
