South Korea free of COVID entry regs

11 Oct 2022
Comments | 0

Effective from October 1, travellers to South Korea are no longer required to take an on-arrival PCR test. The pre-departure test requirement had already been removed last month.

However, those who test positive while visiting must isolate for seven days.

The latest update to the regulations means that travellers can now enter South Korea COVID restriction free, with no need to present either a valid vaccination certificate, a negative pre-departure test result or take a test on arrival into the country.

The outdoor mask mandate was also removed in September, according to Lifestyle Asia. It is anticipated that the relaxations will lead to an increase in travellers to the destination.
