Croatia’s main international airport, Zagreb Airport (also known as Pleso Airport), will be closed on November 22 due to a strike by handling agents.
According to Reuters, 120 flights have been cancelled.
Lufthansa has announced flight cancellations and says in a statement: “Lufthansa regrets any inconvenience to passengers caused by the strike in Zagreb and will do its utmost to minimise impacts on passengers. Passenger support and service has paramount priority. Passengers are kindly requested to check the status of their flight prior to departure. Passengers whose flights are operating are kindly requested to come to the airport in good time.”
The airline is offering a refund to affected passengers or to rebook their flights free of charge.
Turkish Airlines has announced that it will not be operating to Zagreb Airport on November 21 and 22 and that all flights will be transferred to Split airport. Passengers who do not wish to accept the alternative option can make a reservation change free of charge for another date on TK flights. Refunds are also possible within the tariff rules. A list of flights affected can be found here but passengers are urged to check flight statuses regardless.
Other flight statuses can be checked below:
