The visa section at the Swiss Consulate in Cape Town has closed and all visa applications are now handled by the Regional Consular Centre at the Swiss Embassy in Pretoria.
The Swiss Consulate in Pretoria has confirmed that VFS is the application centre for all Swiss visas.
Visas Zone in Johannesburg said it expected the closure to cause a two- to three-day delay in processing time for all visas.
VFS in Pretoria told eTNW that the processing time for visa applications would not be affected and that the normal 15-day waiting period was still applicable.
