As part of its efforts to increase tourism numbers, Thailand’s government will extend tourist visa stays from 30 to 60 days, reports visaguide.world.

The Thai single-entry tourist visa allows for stays of up to 90 days. Although South Africans previously had to apply for a tourist visa extension after their first 30 days visa-free, they can now apply for an extension after 60 days, according to thaikru.com, a Thai visa adviser.

Additionally, Thailand has extended the number of days per entry for its five-year, multiple-entry digital nomad visa from 60 to 180 days, reports nomadembassy.com.
